LOS ANGELES, ANNECY, HELSINKI— REGENT, a global private equity firm, announced today that it has acquired Mavic, the historic French cycling company, from Amer Sports (HEL : AMEAS).

Based in Annecy, France, Mavic (www.mavic.com) has been manufacturing bike systems, rider’s equipment and athletic apparel for consumers as well as champions of the Tour de France and the Olympics since 1889.
